More talk about our health and the scheduling of the next reunion. Fortunately, the latest round of Covid is fairly mild, though we prefer to avoid it if possible.
Crackey presented details about Napa Valley in April 2023. There are various group tours and a wine train available or we can make our own way around wine country (Napa, Sonoma, Santa Rosa). There is a refurbished Travelodge by Wyndham Fairfield/Napa Valley. Santa Rosa is closer to the ocean and the redwoods. It’s more than an hour’s drive to San Francisco. The Inn at Sonoma is walking distance to some wineries and restaurants.
Suzie provided some options for Scottsdale in October 2023. Hotel prices are expensive; the best option is probably Embassy Suites by Hilton. Trolley transportation is available. Nearby points of interest are the Desert Botanical Garden, The Museum of Musical Instruments, and Old Town with lots of shops and restaurants. Wright’s Taliesin West is an hour’s drive away.
We each need to look over the options online and continue the discussion in September.
