Reunion 2007 was a WEEK-long event at a splendid, spacious (yet cozy) “compound” (main house and cottages) on Maryland’s eastern shore. It would have been easy to stay seated in the line-up of comfy chairs on the porch or the patio … sipping, nibbling, laughing, reminiscing, while enjoying beautiful weather and a scenic bayview. Or, hanging out in the busy kitchen where we happily prepared snacks and meals a la Big Chill … But NO! There was swimming, kayaking, hiking in a bird refuge, boat rides, shopping in St. Michaels, even a sailing expedition on Chesapeake Bay. We could often be seen pouring over the AGD composite pictures, remembering fun times, sharing news of others, and hoping to bring more sisters into the love network that keeps us connected. The chatter and the laughter were non-stop, and the food was delicious in this oyster, crab and shellfish capital.
A special event was the seafood buffet at the Town Dock Restaurant in St. Michaels, where our special guest was Caroline, Linda Galvin’s (and Phil’s) beautiful and talented daughter. Caroline lives in northern Virginia, where she conducts the Fairfax Choral Society. We were very pleased that she joined us, to share our memories and love for Linda.
Another highlight was celebrating Julie and Bob’s joyous distinction as our “newlyweds!” They got the fanciest bedroom, which we decorated with balloons, flowers, and champagne to offer our “Congratulations!

12 sisters in all! Still fun-loving, life-embracing, and full of positive energy! We have grown in wisdom, loved our families, contributed to our communities, and weathered the ups and downs of life since those 709 Comstock Avenue days. Yet the love of sisterhood and the joy of being together remains.
And the husbands! Big hearts, small egos, multi-faceted intellects, diverse backgrounds, each one eager to pitch in and join the fun! Our Alpha Gam men are prize-winners all, and they contributed so much to the frivolity and the fellowship of Reunion 2007.
One by one, we took our leave. Those remaining signaling those departing with our traditional “The End” backside salute … still laughing and look forward to the next reunion. Heartfelt gratitude to Pat and Kay for their hard work in arranging this wonderful gathering.
