Ken and Pat’s Log Lodge in the Adirondacks was the ideal spot: big rooms, outside decks, 300 acres of trees, a meadow, a lake, and even a trail to hike. We pulled tidbits from our collective memories: “Skip-Around-the-Room,” the lone shower, Ron and his teacart, our songs, special people…. YOU SHOULDA’ BEEN THERE!
A sad note was the loss of Linda Galvin Desmond earlier in the year. Her husband Phil sent a video of her photos and we shared many stories of Linda from our college days.
We played indoors and out, shared cooking and other chores, took a dinner cruise on Lake George, talking nonstop all the while. Our Alpha Gam men joined in, too, talking of interesting backgrounds and accomplishments and helping with everything.
We are a resilient bunch, and blessings abound. The heartfelt connections we share bind us forever, allowing us to pick up where we left off, no matter how much time has passed. And we can’t wait til our next reunion!
