Mary Downey
Housemother
1898–1995
Mrs. D. was our foundation, always there for us in the best and worst of times. She came to our ’91 reunion and stayed in her old apartment.
Carol Lewis Root

1945–2002
A Syracuse native, Carol married Don Root and was the proud mother of four sons. She had a ready smile, a quick laugh, and a positive nature.
Linda Galvin Desmond

1946–2005
A cherished sister who brought laughter, music and sunshine to our lives at Syracuse. Linda will be deeply missed, and never forgotten.
Judith Rowinski Cawley

Judy was a dynamo, always willing to pitch in and help. She lived in Webster, NY, and was a realtor in the Rochester community.

Paula was a gentle, quiet leader who inspired by example, from Chapter President to International Vice President, a bright light in the AGD universe.

To the day she passed away, Pat was the same beautiful person she has always been, deeply loving, honest to a flaw, and totally devoted to her family.

Margie was always full of life, truly an unforgettable sister. An award-winning kitchen and bath designer, she loved to ski and surrounded herself with family and friends.
Donna Veneruso Dayton

Donna’s wacky sense of humor brightened our years on Comstock Ave. Her serious side emerged in a lifelong law career with Veneruso and Moncharsh in Oakland, CA.
Trina Schultz Robb
Class of '65
1943–2011
Trina was married to Jim Robb for 42 years and lived most of her life in Dewitt, NY. A registered dietician, she served as Deacon and Elder at the Park Central Presbyterian Church.
Nancy O'Neal Tuneski

1944–2014
Nancy inspired us with her lifelong courage, grace, and determination, as she lived by the values stated in our Purpose. She wore the Arc with Diamonds and was dedicated to AGD’s sisterhood.
Marilyn Castaldi
Class of '67
1945–2017
Marilyn was a lively spark, honest and direct, always ready to grab life by the horns. After a successful marketing career, she continued as a consultant, loved to travel and shop, and was learning to play bridge.
Patricia Lee Mayer
Class of '67
1945–2020
Pat moved to Boston after college and worked as a teacher of deaf education for her entire career. She lived in Chelmsford, MA, and belonged to the Vesper Country Club where she enjoyed playing golf.
Ann Shoemaker Guild

1946–2021
We remember Ann as a sweet and happy young woman who pitched in wherever needed. She married her college sweetheart Peter and lived in Chicago before settling in Charlotte, NC.
Linda McCracken Tell
Class of '66
1944–2024
Crackey was our fearless leader. We all admired her so much for the wonderful person she was and for all the goodness she added to our lives. She married Alan Tell of Zeta Psi and raised their family in Boise, ID.
Sarah-Ann Bishop Badenoch
Class of '65
1943–2024
Sarah-Ann was a math major and the daughter of a SU professor. Pat remembers Sarah-Ann welcoming her as a new math major in our sorority. She married Brian, the love of her life, and had a successful career in computer technology.
Marianne Arseneau
Class of '67
1945–2026
Marianne was our brilliant sister who entered the field of medicine several years after college. She married Russell Harris, worked as a radiologist, and spent her life in the Rochester area.
